Sites Designed and powered by Joomla!
I began my journey into Joomla! about 6 months ago by first looking at some of the Content Management Systems or 'CMS' that were out there. The top rated ones are Drupal, WordPress, and Joomla!. I read many articles and even tried a trial offer or two before deciding to use Joomla! as my preferred CMS. The reasons were obvious. Joomla! is the newest in name but was derived from it's predecessor called Mambo.
Joomla! started in mid 2005 with version 1.0 and then it released it's current 1.5 version in 2007. With the release of this new version more and more control was given to the designers by the developers and in turn control passed onto the the end user, you! You are the reason I chose to use Joomla!.
There are countless template variations including a custome template to target the exact look and feel that your site deserves. Joomla! extensions allow me to extend the site's interactive goals such as a Virtual Shopping Mart, a Forum or Blog, and many many more.
This is the site I changed over from it's static site to the new Joomla! version will I was taking a Joomla! online couse. As soon as the client is comfortable with it, we will go live with this new site.
Soon after completeing my online training in Joomla! I began work on my own outdated site to showcase the multitude of cutomizations that are available with Joomla! This is the web site you are currently viewing.
My Classic Car site was the next design build I did to further showcase the flexibility of a Joomla! powered site to achieve any style site imaginable.
This is the latest of my accomplishments using Joomla! only this time I had divine help. This is the new website of the Edgewood Alliance Church in North Kingsville Ohio where my wife and I attend. I made my services available one Sunday after the morning worship service to the Pastor and he informed me that my timing was excellent and that the fellow currently handling the updates and maintainance of the site was moving and they were looking for someone to take his place! Well now you know where the divine help comes in at! This site took me about 10-12 total hours to change from the static original site to the interactive, CMS site it is today and I could not have done that without the help of the Holy Spirit!
