I have been writting web pages since 1998. They include a site done for a Bed and Breakfast, a Chimney Sweep, and an author of a book. My life went through a few changes and I left the web design business for a few years and then about 4 years ago started back up. I always wrote my own code for my clients as opposed to using the cookie cutter templates which are numerous or using the 'secret sauce' method by which noone but you can make changes to the site without possibly causing the whole thing to collapse. Those days of the static web sites are long behind me now as I step out into the new frontier of Content Management Systems (CMS). To be presice, Joomla!
I break down my portfolio into two main groups.
- Static sites of handwritten html, css, javscript, links, images and videos.
2. Interactive sites built with the power of Joomla!. Joomla! is a Content Management System or CMS. Joomla! uses a database to assign an id for every piece of the action and the php, css, xml, html and a template that delivers a full bodied, interactive website that just can't be beat!
