This is the site I changed over from it's static site to the new Joomla! version
while taking a Joomla! Bootcamp couse online. Soon after completeing my online training in Joomla! I began work on my own outdated site to showcase the multitude of cutomizations that are available with Joomla! This is the web site you are currently viewing.
I finished this site weeks before I took an online course in Joomla!. My client needed to have extensive training so that he and his staff could update the articles, images and videos on the site. After I had an understanding of what Joomla! is and how it could allow my clients to preform content changes with minimal knowledge of code. So for my class project I evolved this site into a new Joomla! powered site! With only a few hours of training he and his staff were well on their was on updating their new Joomla! site. Needless to say, he was very, very happy! As soon as my client feels comfortable with his new site and manageing the contect, I will move it to the root folder and the old site shown to the left will be taken down.
My Classic Car site was the next design built. I did this one to further showcase the flexibility of a Joomla! powered site. You can achieve almost any style website imaginable. Plus I loved my car and wanted to show it off! Unfortunatedly I no longer own it.
This is another of the sites I have done using Joomla! Only this time I had divine help. This is the new website of the Edgewood Alliance Church in North Kingsville Ohio where I attended. I made my services available one Sunday after the morning worship service to the Pastor and he informed me that my timing was excellent and that the fellow currently handling the updates and maintainance of the site was moving and they were looking for someone to take his place! Well now you know where the divine help comes in at! This site took me about 15-20 total hours for the transformation from the static original site to the interactive, CMS site it is today! I could not have done that without the help of the Holy Spirit!
Thanks to God and Pastor Gary for the opportunity to do this next website. A pastor friend of his called me out of the blue one day and said he had been given my number by Pastor Gary. We discussed what he wanted and what their budget was and with-in 2 weeks we had his new Church's site up and running.
This is my current project that I am doing for a business in Ashtabula, Ohio. Brenda, at Ringsway Tours hired me to build her Joomla! website. She first chose the template that she liked, purchased her domain and hosting through Lunarpages. After receiving her information in doc format via email,
I had her site up in a matter of days. From there it was just simple communication between my client and myself that allowed it to evolve into what she envisioned her web site to be. This is a screenshot of the above template after making numersous changes and tweaks to the image files and the CSS files. BIG difference!
